Siemens Scholarships

Bachelor's and Master’s Scholarships of Excellence for Students in Computer Science

Together with Graz University of Technology, Siemens AG awards five scholarships for talented and capable Bachelor's and Masters's students in the field of computer science for a maximum period of two years.

Quick Facts

  • Two Siemens Scholarships will be awarded for bachelor's students in the Computer Science, Software Engineering and Management, or Information and Computer Engineering programmes
  • Thre Siemens Scholarships will be awarded for master's students in the Computer Science, Software Engineering and Management, or Information and Computer Engineering programmes
    • The scholarships are preferably awarded to newly admitted students at TU Graz from Romania and Ukraine.

  • Length: Support will be provided for a maximum of 24 months (with appropriate proof of achievement)
  • Amount: For bachelor’s students, the amount provided each year is 4,000 €, and when appropriate proof of achievement has been provided, a total of 8,000 € over the period of two years. For master’s students, the amount provided each year is 8,000 €, and when appropriate proof of achievement has been provided, a total of 16,000 € over the period of two years.

The complete applications should be sent by e-mail by 25 July 2022 to tugraz100noSpam@tugraz.at (mentioning the scholarship, e.g. Siemens Scholarship).

The complete application for the Bachelor's scholarship comprises:

  • letter of motivation
  • curriculum vitae
  • proof of excellent success in school (final exam with honors)

The complete application for the Master's scholarship comprises:

  • letter of motivation
  • curriculum vitae
  • proof of academic achievement and
  • two reference letters from teachers

The documents can be submitted in German or English.

A jury of experts from TU Graz draw up an initial list of awardees. The final awards will be given by Siemens.

Requirements and Admission Requirements

For the bachelor’s scholarship:

All complete applications submitted by students who have been admitted to one of the mentioned bachelor's programmes since the winter semester 2022/23 and have thus far provided excellent proof of academic achievement will be considered.

For the master’s scholarship:

All complete applications submitted by students who have been admitted to one of the mentioned master's programmes since the winter semester 2022/23 and have thus far provided excellent proof of academic achievement will be considered.

 

Any admission requirements must, therefore, be met. Upon receipt of the scholarships, proof of academic achievement must be provided after one year.
