APG Scholarships

APG is powering the future at high voltage

As an independent grid operator, APG ensures security of supply in Austria. It controls, operates and maintains the supraregional high-voltage grid and ensures that electricity is reliably transported throughout Austria. As the architect of the energy transition and the ‘backbone’ of the Austrian electricity system, APG is essential for the integration of renewable energies and for Austria's integration into the European electricity market. This is how tomorrow's energy system will succeed.

More than 1,000 highly qualified specialists work together on an interdisciplinary basis to ensure a secure and uninterrupted electricity supply – around the clock, 365 days a year.

APG's corporate culture puts people at the centre. It promotes the individual strengths of its employees and is convinced that diversity, different approaches and perspectives make the company stronger and drive innovation forward.

Statements from previous scholarship holders

Even before I started my Master's programme, I knew that one day I wanted to play an active role in shaping the energy transition. That's why I applied for the TU Graz scholarship from APG, Austria's transmission system operator, which plays a crucial role in the sustainable energy supply of tomorrow. The APG scholarship not only offers me significant financial support, but also the opportunity to make valuable professional contacts. It also gives me the chance to work actively with the company during my studies, for example as part of a Master's thesis.
