Wireless Communications Scholarships

Within the framework of the TU Graz 100 scholarship programme, sholarships are awarded to talented and motivated students.

Focus on Wireless Communications

TU Graz is an internationally leading university in the field of wireless communications and committed to the highest quality in education. It is a core part of our passion at TU Graz to create a great study environment for the wireless communications experts and researchers of tomorrow.

Wireless Communications is a multidisciplinary subject, requiring expertise in radio propagation, antennas, RF electronics, analog and digital (mixed-signal) signal processing, systems theory, some control theory, and many mathematical topics, as statistics, coding theory, queuing theory, and others. Continuously, new research topics have been emerging, leading to new generations of wireless systems every few years with every increasing capabilities, such as personal video connections, high-accuracy localization, and even sensing as in radar systems. This leads to an ever wider range of devices relying on wireless communications, extending from smart phones to autonomous vehicles but also including simple smart cards and networked sensors. Today, even car keys may be equipped with high-performance radio systems, using so-called "ultra-wideband" technology. These ongoing developments make wireless communication an exciting topic for study and research.
