REMUS Scholarship

Bachelor’s and Master’s Scholarships of Excellence for Female Students in Mechanical Engineering

Together with TU Graz, REMUS will award five scholarships to talented and motivated female students in the field of mechanical engineering for a maximum period of two years.

With over 750 employees, REMUS produces exhaust systems for the global market. The corporate group is a development partner and original equipment supplier for the international automotive industry and is also a firmly established member of the car tuning industry.

Quick Facts

  • From WS 2020/21 and on, five REMUS Scholarships will be awarded:

  • Length: Support will be provided for a maximum of 24 months (with appropriate proof of achievement)
  • Amount: For bachelor’s students, the amount provided each year is 4,000 €, and when appropriate proof of achievement has been provided, a total of 8,000 € over the period of two years. For master’s students, the amount provided each year is 8,000 €, and when appropriate proof of achievement has been provided, a total of 16,000 € over the period of two years.
  • Additional benefits: It is possible to fill an – additionally paid – internship position at REMUS for 2 months during the two-year period. Further integration into the REMUS activities is possible.

Requirements and Admission Requirements

For the bachelor’s scholarship:

All complete applications submitted by female students who have been admitted to the bachelor's programme since the winter semester 2020/21 and have thus far provided excellent proof of academic achievement will be considered.

For the master’s scholarship:

All complete applications submitted by female students who have been admitted to the master's programme since the winter semester 2020/21 and have thus far provided excellent proof of academic achievement will be considered. Any admission requirements must, therefore, be met. Upon receipt of the scholarships, proof of academic achievement must be provided after one year.


It is possible to apply for several scholarships, but only one scholarship can be awarded per person.

Application

The complete applications should be sent by e-mail by 31 October 2020 to bachelorstipendium-remusnoSpam@tugraz.at or masterstipendium-remusnoSpam@tugraz.at.

Applicants studying Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Business Economics are required to hand in their application papers in German; applicants studying Production, Science and Management are required to submit their papers in English.

Please note that only applications of female students will be taken into consideration.

The complete application comprises:

  • letter of motivation
  • curriculum vitae
  • proof of academic achievement in previously attended schools or programmes and
  • two reference letters from teachers

A jury of experts from TU Graz draw up an initial list of awardees. The final awards will be given based on a hearing held at REMUS.
