Software Engineering for Managers

In the University Course Software Engineering for Managers, you will acquire essential basic knowledge in the field of software development. This will enable you to understand software engineering principles, to communicate efficiently as a manager with trained computer scientists and to recognize the state-of-the-art opportunities that computer science offers for digitalization. This helps you to build up an important, practical knowledge base regarding the results that are expected and learn how to estimate costs, as well as how to define quality requirements and project schedules for software development and application.

The University Course Software Engineering for Managers includes two modules with 5 ECTS each:

  • Software Engineering (5 ECTS)
  • Applied CS: Applied Software Engineering und Artificial Intelligence (5 ECTS)

The University Course Software Engineering for Managers provides you with basic knowledge about software development and has been developed for everyone who is involved with business areas where innovations are driven by software on a large scale or who is involved in the digital transformation.

Admission requirements

To apply for this university course, you need to have qualifications specific to the target group, e.g. those of a project manager, quality engineer, business economist and comparable qualifications. Admittance to the course is made by the academic course management based on the qualifications submitted.
