Office for Gender Equality and Equal Opportunity

Highlighting and facilitating diversity, promoting equal opportunities for women and men, encouraging girls and women to develop a passion for technology and the natural sciences, focussing on the compatibility of partnerships, family, career and studying – these topics might seem very different, but they have one thing in common. TU Graz takes these socio-political aims seriously and creates the necessary structures to make them a reality.

The Office for Gender Equality and Equal Opportunity supports the Rectorate in implementing these socio-political aims. Colleagues in the office
  • focus on the many different life plans and life phases as well as on possible barriers that may occur in university life due to these differences.
  • initiate processes at TU Graz that help to recognise and make use of the potential that manifests itself in individual differences such as age, religion or belief, ethnic origion etc.
  • encourage young people to develop a passion for technology and the natural sciences - regardless of traditional roles.
  • provide a contact point, service centre and advice centre.
