Quality Management, Evaluation & Reporting

The Quality Management, Evaluation & Reporting staff unit supports quality development and quality assurance at TU Graz. It plans and accompanies evaluations, designs key figures and analyses for evidence-based control processes, coordinates non-financial reporting and is the university's central point of contact for issues related to research integrity/good scientific practice, ethics and data protection.

Core Tasks

  • Further development and coordination of the QM area of TU Graz
  • Planning and support of external quality audits and evaluations (e.g. faculty evaluations)
  • (Further) development and implementation of internal audits and evaluations (e.g. course evaluations)
  • Intellectual capital reporting of TU Graz and related reporting (e.g. key figures according to UniFinV)
  • Collaboration on the performance agreement between TU Graz and the federal government
  • Development and implementation of internal key figure and monitoring systems (standardized reporting); ad-hoc statistics and key figures
  • Conducting empirical/strategic analyses and benchmark analyses (e.g. as part of “graduate tracking on the labor market”)
  • University rankings (evaluation, handling of participation and monitoring)
  • Coordination of surveys by external bodies at TU Graz, in particular the R&D survey by Statistics Austria and the student social survey by the IHS
  • Coordination of the TU Graz Prize for Excellent Teaching
  • Secretariat of the Commission for Scientific Integrity (CSI) at TU Graz
  • Secretariat of the TU Graz Ethics Committee
  • Coordination and administration of the data protection advisory committees of TU Graz
  • Internal and external point of contact at TU Graz for matters of research integrity/good research practice, ethics and data protection
  • Development and implementation of further education and information events on research integrity/good research practice, ethics and data protection
  • Advising TU Graz members within the scope of the staff unit's areas of responsibility
  • Coordination of the Expert Group Quality Assurance in the university network Unite! and Institutional Liaison of the CESAER network
  • Networking and inter-university cooperation within the scope of the staff unit's responsibilities (e.g. QM network of Austrian universities, IG Datenschutz)
