Email, internet access, computer work stations, recordings of courses, software for research and teaching, server housing, high-performance computing – these are just a few of the services offered by the Services Department IT Services (ZID).

The Service Department IT Services (ZID) is the main provider of IT services at TU Graz. It provides students, employees, and staff in administration and management at TU Graz with a suitable IT infrastructure. The IT services support you in studying, teaching and researching at TU Graz and beyond.

Duties of the Service Department IT Services

  • Planning, creating and monitoring the IT infrastructure such as the TU Graz network, lecture rooms and media infrastructure, server rooms, server housing and server hosting
  • Basic IT services such as email, calendar and contacts, cloud and file services, computer workstations, software and IT support
  • Services for research such as high performance computing (HPC), graphics processing units (GPU), data analysis (CyVerse) and a data storage and backup infrastructure
  • Operation of the IT infrastructure for lecture halls, seminar rooms, teaching and learning technologies as well as provision of applications for electronic surveys, video conferences and project planning
  • Administrative services such as TUGRAZonline
  • Information services such as the TU Graz web presence and the TU Graz intranet (TU4U)
  • Implementation of data and IT security as well as support for IT law and security
