„The art of linking - connecting spaces, people and their environment - is the cornerstone of my approach to urban design. Urbanism is a changing discipline. Formerly focusing on defining surfaces and borders, in relation to economical, ecological and sociological conditions, urbanism is becoming a discipline of connecting. We are entering an age of urbanism that does not define boundaries but instead recognizes the potential of links.“
Arch. Univ.-Prof. Aglaée Degros
In September 2016 Aglaée Degros came to Graz University of Technology as professor and head of the institute of urbanism. Degros is founding partner and co-director of the office <link http: artgineering.eu _blank int-link-external external link in new>Artgineering, an office for urbanism based in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Brussels (Belgium). The work of Artgineering has won various awards and prizes such as Europan, the Karl-Hofer Award of the UdK Berlin and a Bauhaus Award nomination. Aglaée Degros has lectured at various institutions in Europe, as for instance the at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the Delft University of Technology, the Artez Architektur Akademie in Arnheim, the TU Wien or the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Degros is member of the Scientific Commitee of <link http: www.europan-europe.eu _blank int-link-external external link in new>Europan Europe.
