Team Sabol: Visual Analytics

Visual Analytics research group focuses on interactive techniques for data analytics. Our mission is to involve humans in the analytical process by combining visual and automatic data analysis methods, and to deliver advantages of “both worlds” – computational speed of computers and expert knowledge of humans. To that end, we follow a human-driven approach involving design of interactive visual representations, integration of visualization and machine learning methods, and evaluation of analytical interfaces in user studies. Our current efforts addresses exciting research topics such as big data visualization, user guidance in analytical processes, or explainable AI.
