TU Graz Student Ombudsperson

Advising – helping – mediating! The TU Graz Student Ombudsperson is there for all students at TU Graz and prospective students.

Tasks

  • Advising:
listening to criticism, complaints and ideas from students on problems related to studying, teaching and examinations in a non-judgemental manner
  • Helping:
The Ombudsperson evaluates the suggestions, looking for clarification and working to find solutions together with the responsible offices or people.
  • Mediating:
If problems cannot be solved directly at the institutes, or affect several institutes, the ombudsperson takes care of mediation.

If the ombudsperson cannot solve the issue themselves, they refer the matter to the relevant office.

For all general questions on the organisation of your degree, etc., please contact the Registrar's Office.

For example, students can contact us when conflicts emerge in courses, in the supervision of doctoral studies, in relation to exams, or during admission, or they have suggestions on how to improve university life or student services. We want to create a solution-oriented atmosphere and initiate measures that improve university life for all students.
What can the ombudsperson not do? The TU Graz Student Ombudsperson cannot change existing rules (acts, regulations, decrees) ad hoc, annul decisions or issue binding mandates.
