The Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology is committed to excellence in research and teaching. University Assistant for 3 years at the Institute of Software Technology

40h/week, presumably starting 01 March 2020.

Admission requirements

Completed master's or diploma degree in telematics, computer science, software development/economics or comparable.

Wanted Qualifications

There is a position to be filled in the LEAD project "Dependable Internet of Things", subproject "Dependable Multi-Agent Systems", whereby very good knowledge in as many of the following subject areas as possible is desired:

  • Planning and Execution Monitoring
  • Multi-agent systems
  • Dependable Agent and Robot Systems
  • Knowledge Representation and Reasoning
  • Logic and Action-based Programming for Agents
  • Model-based Diagnosis
  • Machine Learning

Further Wanted

  • Very good spoken and written command of the English language
  • Very good academic performance
  • High motivation, self-initiative and sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary team
  • Interest in scientific research
  • Interest in publishing research results
  • Interest in writing a dissertation

Experience with scientific projects, international cooperation and scientific publications are advantageous.

Classification

B 1 under the collective agreement for university employees; the monthly minimum remuneration for this use is currently € 2.864,50 gross (14 times per year, including social and health insurance) and may increase on the basis of the provisions of the collective agreement as a result of the crediting of previous experience specific to the job and other remuneration components linked to the specific features of the job.
