The construction of the new Cybersecurity Campus Graz is progressing according to plan: on Tuesday, 6 May 2025, employees of the construction company Lieb Bau Weiz, the Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft (BIG) and TU Graz held the topping-out ceremony for the sustainable new building in Sandgasse. The reinforced concrete shell was completed at the end of March and the façade is currently being covered in wood.

Thanks to favourable weather conditions and smooth processes on the construction site, work has progressed somewhat faster than originally planned. The Cybersecurity Campus Graz is scheduled for completion in January 2026. The Institute of Information Security at TU Graz and the university's Buildings and Technical Support unit will move into the premises in March 2026.

The Cybersecurity Campus Graz will expand the Inffeldgasse campus of TU Graz by a total of 5,000 m² of net space, some of which will also be rented out to start-ups and companies from the IT security sector.
