Every day, all over the world, thousands of people die in traffic accidents. Research in the field of vehicle safety plays an important role in preventing accidents and reducing their consequences. The master’s programme “Traffic Accident Research” at TU Graz trains you to be an expert in accident reconstruction, acquisition of accident data, accident research and vehicle safety, and prepares you for the challenges of the global job market.

Admission Requirements

  • Relevant academic degree from an Austrian university, or university of applied sciences, or a degree of equal value from a post-secondary educational institution abroad
or
  • Comparable qualifications combined with several years of relevant professional experience  
You may need to provide proof of having sufficient language skill

Structure of the Programmes

Lessons are taught according to the Blended Learning approach.

The courses are divided into several blocks. Exams are held straight after the courses. Distance learning elements make studying easier for working students and international students.

Since 2006, the course at the Vehicle Safety Institute has been held in German and English. Over 70 students from Europe and Asia have taken part. I always enjoy meeting students after they have successfully completed the course. It is nice to see that they not only have positive memories of the course, but that they learnt important and interesting aspects of accident reconstruction, which they are able to make good use of in their careers.
