Unite! gives TU Graz start-ups access to Europe’s innovation networks

For the first time, with the new Unite! soft landing services, start-ups at TU Graz receive a complete overview of the support and funding programmes offered by European partner universities – with first successes.

In future, start-ups and spin-offs in the Unite! network will benefit from a broad European network of companies, industry partners, experts and investors as well as international expertise in business creation and innovation.

From now on, founders can use the soft landing services of each partner university:

  • receive information on local start-up opportunities and initiatives,

  • seek advice from local contacts on funding and financing options and

  • identify the optimal innovation ecosystems for their start-ups.

This provision opens up new opportunities for start-ups and spin-offs to present themselves throughout Europe, make contacts and gain access to dynamic innovation regions and potential investors in a comparatively unbureaucratic manner.

First Success: Unite! Partner Start-up at the Tech Startup Forum

The Unite! soft landing services already achieved its first visible success at the Tech Startup Forum 2025, a matchmaking event with selected guests from the local start-up scene, researchers, regional companies and investors. The Darmstadt-based software start-up “AutonomIQ” presented itself there for the first time as a company of a Unite! partner.

The personal exchange with the regional innovation ecosystem led to the identification of initial synergies – in particular with the TU Graz spin-off “MUST Visibility FlexCo”, which, like the company from Darmstadt, focuses on AI-supported optimisation of manufacturing processes. In-depth discussions took place subsequently in a joint workshop.

Stefan Vorbach,Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at TU Graz is confident: “The new Unite! services bring together players from European spin-offs and start-ups as well as industry and investment. Through our active role in the network, we create bridges to European innovation regions that also open up new opportunities for our local founders.”
