The Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology is committed to excellence in research and teaching. University Assistant (prae doc, 4 years) at the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science

40h/week, presumably starting 01 December 2020.

Admission requirements

Completed master's or diploma studies in informatics, software development, computer science or an equivalent degree.

Wanted Qualifications

  • Experience in the field of data analysis in natural language processing, for example sentiment detection, authorship attribution or document classification.
  • Experience in statistical and probabilistic data modeling and in the analysis of semi-structured data sources, for example document management systems or knowledge graphs.
  • Practical experience in the application of machine learning, especially deep learning or embedding methods.
  • Practical experience in conducting scientific experiments and preparing scientific publications.

Our offer

B 1 under the collective agreement for university employees; the monthly minimum remuneration for this use is currently € 2.929,- gross (14 times per year, including social and health insurance) and may possibly be increased on the basis of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement by taking into account previous experience specific to the job as well as other remuneration components associated with the special features of the job.
