The “TU Graz 100” scholarship programme is considered an investment in the future of Austria as a location for business and innovation. In cooperation with numerous funding bodies, Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) provides financial support for the best young talents from Austria and abroad. Up to 100 scholarships are awarded each year to Bachelor’s and Master’s students from a wide range of disciplines. The most recent awards ceremony took place on 2nd December in the assembly hall of TU Graz.

A total of 45 students – 34 Bachelor’s and eleven Master’s students, 28 men and 17 women – received scholarships at the awards ceremony. Ten of the scholarships went to international students who are completing their studies at TU Graz. They come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Bulgaria, India, Italy, Nigeria and Serbia. The scholarships for Bachelor’s students are endowed with 4,000 euros per academic year, Master students receive 8,000 euros per academic year, and the duration of the scholarships is a maximum of two years in each case.

Harald Kainz, Rector of TU Graz, emphasizes: “Business and science need talented, innovative and committed young people. These scholarships are both an award and a motivation. An award for the outstanding achievements to date and the path taken by our students. And the motivation to pursue this path with determination and ambition as well as joy. Our thanks go to our partners from industry and interest groups for the generous scholarships and for the great idealistic support of our TU Graz 100 initiative.”
