Mentees: New International Students
You are new in Graz, international, and are doing your whole bachelor's or master's degree at TU Graz? You are in need of help with your first steps in Graz and at TU Graz?
Then sign up now for the Welcome Buddy Programme! Please note that participation in the kick-off meeting is mandatory. Further information will be sent to all registered mentees in good time.
ATTENTION: Exchange students can sign up for the ESN Buddy Programme.
Buddies: Senior Students* of TU Graz
Would you like to help new international students get off to a good start in Graz, make intercultural contacts and brush up on your language skills?
You will also receive 2 ECTS and benefits for your stay abroad if you fulfill the following criteria:
- Participate in the Kick-off meeting
- Participate in an Intercultural Awareness Session
- Submit a feedback form and a photo with your mentee/your buddy group at the end of the semester
* Registration as buddy is possible only after completing at least two semesters at TU Graz.
Registration deadlines
- Winter semester: August 15 (allocation to buddy groups from mid-August)
- Summer semester: January 15 (allocation to buddy groups from mid-January)
Later applications are possible (winter semester: until November 30 / summer semester: until April 30), allocation is then usually to existing buddy groups.
