The Lecture offers a discussion on the opportunities and challenges of building an inclusive and future-ready green workforce across Europe. Europe’s green transition, driven by the Green Industrial Deal, is reshaping labor markets creating a strong demand for new green job profiles and new skills patterns supporting the transition to green industries.
This lecture will explore the needs of industry which will require adaptation of curricula in higher education institutions, including in the Widening countries, as well as upskilling and reskilling of professionals in the coming decade. The lecture will also showcase how innovation ecosystems can turn green ambitions into real employment opportunities.
