Creativity is the starting point of every scientific discovery—it drives researchers to ask new questions, take unconventional paths, and expand the boundaries of knowledge. Ideas give rise to reliable insights that improve our daily lives and enable solutions to tomorrow’s challenges.
World Creativity and Innovation Day was recognized by the United Nations in 2018 and highlights the importance of creativity and innovation for social progress and sustainable development.
For the first time, Austria’s universities are marking this day with a joint day of action and, under the #ALLESUNI, are sending a clear message about the impact of research and creativity on society.
On April 24, Austria’s universities will demonstrate just how diverse, surprising, and inspiring science can be during the Long Night of Research—an invitation to the general public to experience creativity and innovation up close.
