Education

The institute strives to provide a well-organised and transparent teaching process in combination with maximum individual support for each student. Results and knowledge of ongoing research projects are published, discussed, evaluated and subsequently adopted for teaching. The available scripts can be seen as a compendium and shall serve as a reference for all persons interested in timber engineering and wood technology. The institute enables students to gain knowledge in the areas of timber engineering and wood technology during several courses on bachelor and master level as well as on PhD-level. Course contents cover the whole structural hierarchy of wood, lasting from its microscopic structure up to engineered products and timber constructions.
