"Firewood Aid Packages for CARITAS"

Only when no further material use can be found for residual and scrap wood from laboratory tests is the path toward firewood preparation pursued. This wood arises, for example, from the fracture zones of timber test specimens, from the released sections used to determine physical material properties, as well as from sawdust and planing residues produced in the workshop. Using the institute’s own press, these residues are processed into briquettes. For all this firewood, packed in handy cartons, CARITAS was found to be a partner, where it can be assumed that in the cold months it will provide warming benefit to the “right” group of people.
