May 27 to 28 in 2026 in Graz, Austria

The YAF26 of the Austrian Society for Analytical Chemistry (ASAC) will take place in Graz for the 21st  time from May 27 to 28 in 2026.  It is organized by young analysts from the Institute of Analytical Chemistry and Food Chemistry with the help of their institute director Erich Leitner from Graz, University of Technology. We are delighted to be hosting this year's event and to welcome you here in the green heart of Austria. Österreichische Lebensmittelchemietage 2026

The Austrian Food Chemistry Days provide a platform for food chemists, food analysts, food toxicolo¬gists, food technologists, and nutrition scientists from academia, control authorities, and industry to present and discuss cutting-edge research in the field of food chemistry.

The conference will cover all aspects of food chemistry, offering insights into current research activities in the area of food quality, food safety, food authenticity, food toxicology; food ingredients, food additives and food contaminants. Topics will also include biomonitoring and exposure assessment, food allergens, food processing; food contact materials, food flavour and sensory properties; food microbiology and food analysis.

The official language of the meeting will be English in order to encourage the participation of non-German-speaking colleagues, especially PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.

Details regarding key note lectures, abstract submission, conference fees and registration will be an¬nounced shortly.

The P.B. Czedik-Eysenberg Award 2026 will be presented during the conference. The awardee will be invited to present their work on this occasion. The call for the P.B. Czedik-Eysenberg Award 2026 is now open: open here

The conference will be organised by the GÖCh Arbeitsgruppe Lebensmittel, Kosmetik & Bedarfsgegenstände. The local organisation will be managed by colleagues from the Institute of Analytical Chemistry and Food Chemistry, Graz University of Technology.

The conference will begin on Wednesday early afternoon and conclude on Friday before lunch. The venue is easily accessible by public transportation.
