The Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology is committed to excellence in research and teaching. University Assistant (Prae Doc, 3 years) at the Institute of Software Technology

40h/week, presumably starting 01 September 2020.

Admission requirements

Completed master or diploma studies in computer science, telecommunication engineering or software development.

Wanted Qualifications

  •  Basic knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • autonomous mobile robots
    • Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM)
    • Navigation
    • Processing of data from different sensors (e.g. 3D, heat, radiation, chemistry)
    • Software development for robot systems
    • Machine Learning in the area of Perception and Control
    • Disaster response and cooperation with emergency services
  • social, communicative and didactic competence
  • good academic performance
  • good knowledge of English
  • Willingness to cooperate in research projects carried out at the institute

Classification

B 1 under the collective agreement for university employees; the monthly minimum remuneration for this use is currently € 2.929.- gross (14 times per year, including social and health insurance).
