Project Assistant in Data Management (post or prae doc) (f/m/d)

Full Time (40h/week).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project coordination in research data management
  • Establishment of a network for researchers in the field of engineering and related disciplines
  • Development of discipline-specific services, workflows and practices for research data management
  • Community management and advocacy of open science practices (e.g. FAIR data)
  • Organization of workshops & trainings
  • Communication and dissemination of outputs
  • Create scientific publications which contribute to the theory and development of data stewardship and data management planning

Required skills and experience

  • Completed academic studies (masters or diploma) in Civil Engineering Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, industrial engineering, data management, business informatics, or similar, Ph.D. desirable
  • Experience with Open Science of advantage
  • Experience with software and languages for data extraction and analysis (e.g., Python, R) desirable
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Very good written and spoken English and German language skills
  • Record of impactful scientific publications in line with career-stage of advantage

The minimum collective wage for this position for postdoc is € 3,889.50 (14 times a year) or Prae-doc € 2,929.00 gross (14 times a year) per month. Depending on your experience and qualification, overpayment is possible.
