The Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology is committed to excellence in research and teaching. University Assistant (prae doc, 3 years) at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Knowledge Visualisation

40h/week, presumably starting 01 October 2020.

Admission requirements

Completed master's or diploma studies in computer science, mathematics, telecommunications engineering, software engineering, computational science or equivalent.

Wanted Qualifications

  •  Good programming skills (e.g. C/C++, Java), knowledge of GPU programming is an advantage
  • Prior knowledge and interest in one or more areas of computer graphics, such as geometry processing, simulation/animation, rendering, visualization and/or visual analytics
  • Experience in the implementation of cooperative research projects and first scientific publications would be an advantage
  • Willingness to cooperate in teaching
  • Social, communicative and didactic competence, teaching experience, e.g. as a study assistant desirable
  • Good English language skills

Job Description

  • Cooperation in teaching, e.g. in the handling and organisation of basic lectures and exercises
  • Implementation of research projects from the different areas of computer graphics

Our offer

B 1 under the collective agreement for university employees; the monthly minimum remuneration for this use is currently € 2.929.- gross (14 times per year, including social and health insurance) and may possibly be increased on the basis of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement by taking into account previous experience specific to the job as well as other remuneration components associated with the special features of the job.
