The Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology is committed to excellence in research and teaching. University Assistant (prae doc, 4 years) at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Vision

40h/week, presumably starting 01 October 2020.

Admission requirements

Completed master or diploma studies in the field of computer science, software development & management, telecommunications engineering, computer science or a comparable study.

Wanted Qualifications

  • Profound and extensive knowledge in 3D computer vision, especially multi-view stereo reconstruction methods, depth map filtering and completion.
  • Experience in assisting in basic teaching and teaching at master level, e.g. as a study assistant.
  • Support of teaching and development of programming exercises.
  • Research experience with a scientific publication on an international level or a master thesis/diploma thesis which corresponds qualitatively to a publication.
  • Support of comprehensive institute software libraries.
  • Support of research projects (EU, FFG, FWF, CDL) or company projects.

Our offer

B 1 under the collective agreement for university employees; the monthly minimum remuneration for this use is currently € 2.929.- gross (14 times per year, including social and health insurance) and may possibly be increased on the basis of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement by taking into account previous experience specific to the job as well as other remuneration components associated with the special features of the job.
