Events, Tutorials, Guided Tours

The tutorials, workshops and guided tours held by the library help readers to make the best use of the library. We can help with questions about research, and we organise workshops and seminars on various aspects of scientific work and publishing.

Tutorials on YouTube

TU Graz Library provides you with a growing body of training video tutorials on library services.

On our YouTube channel you get quick answers to your questions outside of our opening hours and without leaving your workplace.

We are constantly expanding our tutorial collection with new videos on different topics.

Introduction to the library

In our library introduction tours, we show new users to use the library. We explain what media we have in our collections and give you an introduction to search methods. In a short tour through the library, we show you the infrastructure that you can use for your work.

This service is available every day from 8:30 am to 4 pm without advance reservation. For larger groups, up to 25 persons, please do make a reservation under service.bibliotheknoSpam@tugraz.at.

Events

TU Graz Library offers events for students and researchers in various of formats. Please find all current events on our event page.

Library on-site

The library supports all the students and staff of TU Graz in their scientific work and publishing. We will be happy to visit your institute and inform you about topics such as PURE or open access.

We are very flexible about the contents of such presentations and will tailor them exactly to your information needs. Send your request with your preferred date and time to service.bibliotheknoSpam@tugraz.at.

Course for PhD students

For PhD students at TU Graz, the library provides the course "Finding scientific information and publishing your research results". This seminar is held in every winter semester and introduces the students to the knowledge and skills they will need to do their research work. The course covers topics such as searching for literature, selection of journals and open access.

Besides supplying a lot of background information, the seminar also has a substantial practical component. Students can use and test what they have learned right away. You can find more details on this course in TUGRAZonline.

Service for schools

The library helps teachers and pupils of higher-level secondary schools (AHS and BHS) with their Matura projects (the vorwissenschaftliche Arbeit). We can organize special library introduction sessions and workshops for you. In order to ensure that these sessions are successful for all participants, we have a maximum group size of 25 pupils. Please send your request for an appointment to service.bibliotheknoSpam@tugraz.at.
