The new continuing education programmes at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) offer decision-makers and interested parties from business and industry a scientifically sound and at the same time action-oriented qualification in the context of the green transformation. Participants benefit from the expertise of TU Graz in the field of green and digital transformation on a strategic and operational level. Here is an overview of the current university courses.

Zero Carbon Management

IIn this university course, participants acquire fundamental knowledge of sustainability management and the fields of activity relevant to the decarbonisation of companies. These include, for example, sustainable energy systems, sustainable buildings and operational mobility. The “Zero carbon manager” certificate enables graduates to advise companies and organisations on how to improve their sustainability performance, plan decarbonisation strategies and subsequently implement them.

Start date: 11th September 2023; application deadline: 4th September 2023
You will find detailed information on the Zero Carbon Management course on the TU Graz Life Long Learning website.

Participants learn to initiate and implement independent analyses in the framework of operational decisions. Special consideration is given to strategies for the industrial sector. The focus is on the Austrian energy market and its integration into European energy systems.

Start date: 11th September 2023; application deadline: 4th September 2023
You can find detailed information about the course “Energy & Green Production 1” on the TU Graz Life Long Learning website.

Energy & Green Production 2

New technologies used for new digital business and fields of activity require new ways of supplying energy, and at the same time must be compatible with the mandatory climate protection goals. In this university course, participants learn to analyse different technological options for efficient and environmentally friendly energy provision and raw material processing.

In the university course, participants learn how to plan, optimise and use company buildings in a more climate-friendly way.

Start date: 15th January 2024; application deadline: 4th January 2024

Decarbonisation and Sustainability Management (starts for the 2nd time)

The EU’s Green Deal presents companies with the challenge of expanding and accounting for their measures for more sustainability. Even if individual steps have been taken to reduce energy consumption, for example, there is often no overview of all the measures taken in the company and no ongoing climate accounting. The course provides managers with an overview of the main fields of activity regarding decarbonisation and knowledge so that successful sustainability management can become a competitive advantage.
The course, which under the module name “Sustainability Management, -systems” is also part of the EMBA Green and Digital Transition will start for the second time in September.

Next course start: 11th September 2023; application by 1st September 2023
You will find detailed information on the course “Decarbonisation and Sustainability Management” on the TU Graz Life Long Learning website.
