TU Graz works closely with partners from research and industry. TU Graz also holds a share in some of these companies.

As a shareholder TU Graz is able to play an active role in the development of the affiliated companies. TU Graz considers the university subsidiaries, therefore, to be valuable tools for sustainable scientific cooperation.  

With its company portfolio, TU Graz strengthens the research, technology and innovation location – together with industrial, scientific and governmental partners.

  • TU Graz holds shares in 23 companies.
  • The portfolio companies employ over 1,500 staff members in high-quality positions.
  • In 2022, TU Graz's shareholdings have generated an annual operating performance of around € 148 million, of which around 18% was generated in joint projects together with TU Graz institutes.
