Theses

The Vehicle Safety Institute is looking for students to work on bachelor's and master's theses to collaborate in current research projects. A small selection is given below. If you are specifically interested in one of these topics, please contact the person listed there. If there is no topic listed here and you are generally interested in vehicle safety, please send an e-mail to office.vsi@tugraz.at and let us know.

If you cannot find a specific topic here, but you are interested in vehicle safety in general, please send an e-mail to office.vsi@tugraz.at and let us know the following points so that we can find a topic for you and arrange a meeting with potential supervisors:

  • Crashworthiness of (sustainable) materials
  • Safety of energy storage systems (batteries)
    • Mechanical
    • Electrical
    • Thermal
  • Accident research
  • Active safety (accident avoidance; autonomous driving)
  • Occupant protection
  • Vulnerable road user protection (pedestrian, bicyclists,..)
  • Precrash behaviour of occupants or vulnerable road useres
