Dynamo Engineering Drawing Studio

The Dynamo Engineering Drawing Studio (DZS for short) is a learning community of the Faculty of Electrical and Information Engineering for bachelor and master students of courses run by the Faculty.

In the rooms of the DZS, founded in 1953, students not only have the opportunity to learn at their own workstation and share knowledge, but also for social interaction. The aim is to encourage the communal aspect, student collaboration and motivation – thus resulting in rapid progress in your studies. An informal atmosphere and a wide range of specialisations in the advanced course fields (energy, control, communications engineering, etc.) among members create the ideal setting for succeeding in your studies.

I use the DZS rooms for learning and chatting with my drawing hall colleagues. We generally cook and eat together at lunchtime. You can revise for difficult exams together and the exam material and help from other members save you a lot of time and effort. The rooms and infrastructure (WIFI, PC monitors) are provided by TU Graz, otherwise the DZS is funded from the “Bockbier- und Saubratenfest” (once a semester). The proceeds are used to buy kitchen utensils, for example, or to pay for joint activities.
