Our symposium Energy Innovation (EnInnov) is always a great opportunity to connect and exchange ideas. This year, Univ.-Prof. Sonja Wogrin had the pleasure of meeting Aleš Prešern, Managing Director of Siemens Energy Austria GmbH. During their conversation, he kindly invited our institute to visit the transformer factory in Weiz, and we were very happy to take this opportunity.
Following this invitation, Thomas Klatzer organised an excursion to Weiz for our students and the team of the Institute of Electricity Economics and Energy Innovation (IEE). During the visit, we were given an exciting tour through the factory and gained valuable insights into transformer production and industrial practice in the energy sector.
The excursion provided an excellent opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications and to experience modern industrial processes in energy technology first-hand.
A big thank you to Siemens Energy Austria GmbH and especially to Aleš Prešern for the invitation and the interesting visit!
