Heating Technologies

The heating of metal blanks is an essential step in the hot or warm forming process. Therfore the Institute of Tools and Forming has an electrically heated chamber furnace with optional inert gas flooding. Technical data:
Power: 30 kW
Maximum furnace temperature: 1100 ° C
Dimension (l/w/h) 1500 x 1000 x 500 mm

In addition, a self-developed inductive heating device is used for heating coated and uncoated metal blanks by current-bearing coils. To achieve various properties up to 1300 ° C three different types of inductors are available.
