Will additional exam dates be offered beyond those currently listed on the website and in TUGrazOnline?
No. There will be exactly three examination dates per term, resulting in six examination dates per academic year. Additional dates will not be added beyond this number. However, examination dates for future periods may not yet be published and will be announced in time.
Can my examination be graded earlier if I require the result urgently?
No. Examination results are released only after all assessments for a given examination date have been graded, finalized, and officially processed. Since requests for expedited grading are very common, accommodating individual requests would not accelerate the overall process. We therefore ask that you refrain from contacting us regarding early grading.
Is it possible to arrange an individual examination date?
No. Individual examination dates are not offered. We kindly ask that you refrain from contacting us with such requests.
What if I am in the inspection hour and notice, that I forgot to put the answer on the answer sheet. Can I do it then if I ask the supervisor?
No. Answers have to be written on the answer sheet during the exam.
What if the examination structure is not accessible to me due to a disability or special requirement?
If you require accommodations due to accessibility needs, please contact us directly or reach out to the Service Point for Accessible Learning. We will work together to find an appropriate solution.
I registered for an examination but can no longer deregister because the deadline has passed. What are my options?
Unfortunately, for organizational reasons, we cannot process manual deregistrations after the deadline. You may either attend the examination or choose not to appear. Please note that failure to attend after registration may result in exclusion from the next examination date. The deregistration deadline is always Monday of the examination week at 3:00 PM.
This is my fourth exam attempt. How does the process look like?
Please contact our office regarding that for the process.
May I answer an examination in a different language than the one in which it is provided?
No. The examination language is an integral part of the assessment. To ensure fairness and equal conditions for all students, examinations must be answered in the language in which they are administered.
Can I take the German version of a course instead of the English version, or vice versa?
No. These courses are listed separately in the curriculum and differ in both content and study-plan requirements. Completing one course may not automatically qualify as a substitute for the other. Before making such a decision, please consult your Dean’s Office or enroll in the course specified within your study program.
When can I review my examination?
The inspection date corresponding to your exam is listed here.
Can I write my answers in a pencil?
Since a pencil can be removed from the exam with a rubber during inspection time, please refrain from using a pencil to give a final answer to your questions. You can of course use a pencil to sketch, write down comments or prewrite your answers before locking them in using a pen.
