Guest Lecture Dr. Harasek

Last Thursday, our Technology Management course had the privilege of hosting President Dr. Stefan Harasek from the Österreichisches Patentamt for an insightful Guest Lecture, organized by Camilla Reis, Dr. Thomas Draschbacher and Michael Rachinger.

In today’s fast-moving tech world, understanding how to protect innovations is key for future engineers and managers competing on a global stage. A huge thanks to him for sharing his expertise and inspiring our students!

CO4 HUB Project Start

Our major research project “Cooperation for Hubs in Urban Logistics” (CO4HUB) officially started on January 1st, 2026. Together with our research partners, we are exploring new ways to make urban logistics more efficient and sustainable by developing and testing cooperative urban logistics hubs.

In the project, we investigate how logistics operators can collaborate, share infrastructure, and bundle deliveries in order to reduce traffic, emissions, and noise in cities. By combining research, real-world pilots, and close collaboration with stakeholders, we aim to create practical solutions that improve how goods move through urban areas.

It’s an exciting topic with great potential for the future of sustainable logistics—and we’re looking forward to the journey ahead.

Ball der Technik

The UFO was, of course, also present on the "Ball der Technik". Thanks to the BdT Comission for organising this very big event. We had a lot of fun.

Teambuilding

Of course, after a stressful and intense workday at our Strategy-Workshop, we deserved a little bit of relaxation. So we drove to Zottlerhof and made some new friends. Gustl, Giovanni, Benji, Picasso and Charlie accompanied us on a little walk over the hill with great food afterswards.

Strategieworkshop

This year we have once again sat down for a whole day and planned everything for the next academic year, talked about our current projects and research. It was a productive day.

No Processmanagement in ST 2026

In the SummerTerm of 2026, there will be no Processmanagement Lecture. This is due to the fact, that the professor who was responsible for this lecture will not be holding it in this semester.

Thank you for understanding.
