Alexander Plopski is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Vision at the TU Graz, Austria. He finished my PhD in Information Science at the Takemura Laboratory, University of Osaka, Japan, in 2016 under the guidance of Prof. Kiyoshi Kiyokawa and Prof. Haruo Takemura. In April 2016, he started as a PostDoctoral Fellow at the Interactive Media Design Laboratory at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, where he later became an Assistant Professor. He was a visiting research fellow at the Computer Aided Medical Procedures laboratory at the Johns Hopkins University, USA, in 2017 and the Kitani Laboratory and the Human and Robot Partners Laboratory at the Carnegie Mellon University, USA, in 2018. From December 2019 till January 2022, he was a PostDoctoral Fellow at the HCI Group at the University of Otago, New Zealand, where he worked with Assoc. Prof. Tobias Langlotz and Prof. Holger Regenbrecht. He joined ICG in May 2022 as a PostDoctoral fellow working with Prof. Dieter Schmalstieg. His scientific areas of interest include eye trackinghead-mounted displays, and extended reality.
