Matthias Rüther joined the Institute of Computer Graphics and Vision in 2004 as research assistant of Prof. Horst Bischof and is currently senior researcher at the institute. His main research area is computer vision in conjunction with industrial robotics and automation. Matthias Rüther is founder and coordinator of the Robot Vision Lab, a research group at ICG, consisting of six PhD students and several diploma students. He holds the lecture "Robot Vision" at Graz University of Technology and is reviewer for the conferences CVPR, ECCV, ICPR, ICARCV, AAPR and CVWW. Within the last 6 years Martthias Rüther was involved in over 25 research projects and in collaboration with 10 industrial partners and 6 academic institutions. His research interests lie in Multiple View Geometry, Robot Vision, Industrial Computer Vision & 3D Metrology, Projector Camera Systems and in Mobile Robotics & SLAM.
