Martin is currently (since December 2022) affiliated with Medical University Graz, Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Documentation on an Ass. Prof. (tenure track) position. However, he is still an external lecturer for Medical Image Analysis at TU Graz and open for supervising student projects.

After being responsible for the medical image processing work group during the previous years, in July 2019 Martin has accepted a lecturer position (Ass. Prof.) at the School of Computer Science, The University of Auckland, New Zealand. While he was still closely collaborating with the work group in Graz, he was fully affiliated with the University of Auckland until 2022.
