Surface Twister

Supervised by TU Graz, you will work with Idee & Design - The Art Factory GmbH, a local company which specializes in the design and manufacture of free-form objects. The goal of this project is to develop a CAD application that enables an average home user to create custom designs for wall panelling ready to go straight into the manufacturing process.

Starting from a basic shape, the user should be able to deform the surface freely using a set of tools that have to be powerful yet robust and intuitive enough for the non-expert. The focus of this work lies on developing geometric algorithms for new tools and implementing them in the existing application prototype.
