Prof. Hannes Hick (Graz University of Technology) and Prof. Hans-Ferdinand Angel (Karl Franzens University Graz) open the first Credition Lab at the Institute for machine components and methods of development at Graz University of Technology.

During the 7th Conference "The Structure of Credition" the Credition Lab was opened and a first application was presented.

Creditions (belief processes) occur in a wide variety of situations, for example in self-perception and external perception, in start-up and political consulting, in diversity management, in decisions on financial investments and in buying behavior. Credition applied research analyzes the occurrence of conditions in various areas. The results are made available to basic research and thus enable an empirically supported optimization of the credition model.

At the Institute for Machine Components and Development Methodology of Graz University of Technology, the findings on the topic of credition are applied to methods of development. Selected methods, such as risk assessment, are extended with a credition model to describe the human factor in the assessment process of technical risks in a specific form. This allows additional elements to be included in the assessment process and thus the assessment can be described more extensively than with conventional approaches.
