Robert Gaugl was interviewed by the Austrian daily newspaper Kurier as an expert on home battery storage systems and why they have gained such popularity among private households in recent years.

As part of an article on the growing popularity of home battery storage systems in Austria, our colleague Robert Gaugl was interviewed by the Kurier to provide expert insight into the technical and economic background. In the piece, published in the June 22, 2025 Sunday edition, he explains how battery storage systems can help increase the self-consumption of solar PV power, reduce strain on the power grid, and potentially contribute to grid stability.

The interview highlighted the significant growth in the number of home storage systems in recent years—driven by rising energy prices, attractive subsidy programs, and a growing awareness of energy independence. Robert Gaugl contextualizes this trend and emphasizes that home storage systems not only contribute to climate protection, but are also becoming increasingly economically attractive, especially when combined with smart energy management systems.

The full interview is also available online.
