Our postdoc Luca Santosuosso presented recent research on time series aggregation as part of the ERC project NetZero-Opt at Imperial College London.

From June 4–6, 2025, our postdoctoral researcher Luca Santosuosso visited the Control and Power Research Group at Imperial College London, where he delivered a seminar entitled
Advancing Time Series Aggregation for Computational Efficiency in Net-Zero Power Systems Optimization.”

As part of the ERC-funded NetZero-Opt project, led by Sonja Wogrin, Luca presented innovative methods for exact and high-performance time series aggregation. These tools aim to reduce the computational complexity of large-scale energy system models – a crucial contribution to the data-driven transformation towards climate-neutral power systems.

In addition to the technical exchange, inspiring discussions with the outstanding researchers at Imperial College sparked new ideas and laid the foundation for future collaborations in the shared mission of deep decarbonization.

Special thanks go to Akylas Stratigakos for organizing the seminar and for the warm hospitality!
