Oesterreichs Energie Award 2025 for Lia Gruber

We warmly congratulate Lia Gruber, who was awarded the Oesterreichs Energie Prize at the OVE Energy Conference 2025 in Kufstein.

The prestigious award honors her outstanding dissertation titled “Optimization & Policy Development of Energy Communities: Exploring Technological, Economic, and Social Dimensions.”

In her research, Lia Gruber examines how energy communities can contribute to the sustainable energy transition through optimal technological design, economic incentive mechanisms, and appropriate policy frameworks. By combining optimization models with social science approaches, her dissertation provides valuable insights for the development of future energy policies and the integration of citizens into the energy system.
