With the "NPAP Launch Lunch", IEE celebrated the release of a new open-source Python library for partitioning and aggregation of network graphs, with a special focus on electrical power systems.
We recently celebrated the launch of NPAP (Network Partitioning and Aggregation Package) with a dedicated “NPAP Launch Lunch”.
NPAP is an open-source Python library designed for partitioning and aggregation of spatial network graphs, with a particular focus on applications in electrical power systems. Its purpose is to simplify complex network structures and thereby enable more efficient analysis and modeling of large-scale energy systems.
Such tools are becoming increasingly important in modern energy system research. As systems grow in size and complexity, driven by the integration of renewable energy sources and sector coupling, robust methods for reducing and structuring network representations are essential.
The launch was celebrated in a relaxed setting over lunch, providing an opportunity to recognize the work behind NPAP and to strengthen exchange within the team.
More information about the library, including documentation and usage, is available online.
