The IEE took part in this year’s OVE Energy Technology Conference in Kufstein, with strong representation by Prof. Sonja Wogrin, joined by Felix Auer and Benjamin Stöckl.
On October 15-16, 2025, the 62nd OVE Energy Technology Conference took place in Kufstein, bringing together leading experts from industry, academia, and policy under the theme “System Development for a Future Energy System 2040+.” The conference focused on system transformation, flexibility management, and technical innovations for a reliable and sustainable power system.
The IEE was represented by Prof. Sonja Wogrin, Felix Auer, and Benjamin Stöckl.
Prof. Wogrin delivered a keynote talk titled “Shaping the Future: System Development for a Sustainable Energy World” and participated in the subsequent panel discussion alongside representatives from TIWAG and Siemens Energy. Her contribution emphasized how optimization, simulation, and analytical tools can serve as the foundation for future energy policy decisions.
Felix Auer and Benjamin Stöckl attended the conference sessions to exchange ideas and gather insights for ongoing research and teaching at IEE.
We thank the OVE for organizing this inspiring event and look forward to continued collaboration within Austria’s energy technology community.
