At the 18th PV Breakfast of the Technology Platform Photovoltaics, Robert Gaugl presented the study "Flexibility and Storage Needs in the Austrian Energy System".

On September 10, 2025, Robert Gaugl from the Institute of Electricity Economics and Energy Innovation (IEE) at Graz University of Technology presented the findings of the study “Flexibility and Storage Needs in the Austrian Energy System” at the 18th PV Breakfast of the Technology Platform Photovoltaics (TPPV)

In his talk, Robert Gaugl highlighted the increasing importance of flexibility options and energy storage to efficiently integrate the growing share of renewable energy into the power grid. He addressed the specific requirements of the Austrian energy system and discussed potential solutions.

The subsequent open discussion underscored the participants’ strong interest in innovative approaches to ensure a reliable and sustainable energy supply. With this contribution, IEE provided valuable impulses for shaping the future of the energy system and advancing photovoltaic solutions in Austria.
