Excursion to the Run-of-River Power Plant Graz Puntigam

As part of the course Practical Aspects of Renewable Energies, an excursion to the run-of-river power plant Graz Puntigam will take place on January 19, 2026.

The guided tour offers students a hands-on insight into the technical and economic aspects of a modern run-of-river hydropower plant.

In addition to technical operation, the excursion will cover topics such as project planning, permitting, environmental considerations, and public relations. While primarily intended for students of the course, participation is also open to others if space allows. The excursion is free of charge, the tour language is German, and the meeting point is directly at the Murkraftwerk Graz, easily reachable by bike, bus, or on foot.
