Excursion Hydro Storage Plant Koralpe & Wind Park Handalm

On June 5, 2025, an excursion to the hydro storage plant Koralpe and the wind park Handalm will take place as part of the course "Renewable Energies".
As part of the course “Renewable Energies”, an excursion will take place during the summer semester 2025. The excursion will include visits to the Koralpe pumped-storage power plant operated by KELAG and the wind farm of Energie Steiermark AG located on the Handalm. In addition to the technical and energy-economic aspects and challenges, related topics such as operation, planning, permitting, environmental issues, and public relations will also be discussed.
The excursion will take place on June 5, 2024, with the meeting point at 7:30 AM in front of Inffeldgasse 18.
