At the event "Das neue Festkleben: Dranbleiben & Vernetzen!" organized by HTL BULME Graz-Gösting, institute head Sonja Wogrin discussed key challenges of the energy transition.
What will the future of energy systems look like – and what role will the next generation play in shaping it? These questions were at the heart of the event “Das neue Festkleben: Dranbleiben & Vernetzen!”, organized by HTL BULME Graz-Gösting.
Our institute head Sonja Wogrin was invited as a speaker and provided insights into current challenges of the energy transition in her talk “Grid expansion and new storage capacities”. She addressed topics such as grid expansion, new storage solutions, digital twins, optimisation models, secure energy systems and grids, as well as the growing importance of home storage.
The event brought together around 300 students from across Austria, highlighting the strong interest of young people in climate and energy-related topics.
In addition to her talk, Sonja Wogrin participated in a panel discussion together with representatives from science, industry, and media. The discussion focused on how scientific insights can be translated into practical solutions for society and the economy.
As an institute, we strongly believe that it is essential to provide students with early insights into current developments in the energy sector and to inspire them to engage with the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition.
We would like to thank HTL BULME Graz-Gösting for organizing this inspiring event and for creating a valuable platform for dialogue between youth, science, and industry.
